I’ve highlighted projects in my portfolio that focus on user research, UX writing-user assistance and content creation.

User Research

For over nine years, I’ve employed quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods to conduct user research from initial plan and design through to recruiting participants, conducting these studies, carrying out data analysis, formulating recommendations, and then writing up results for presentation to stakeholders.

I work and have worked in agile environments requiring me to be quick on my feet and constantly iterate how I conduct research to match changing user and stakeholder requirements. I like the challenge of defining the “who” and “why” to recommend the “how” for my customers.

UX Writing – User Assistance

I am a seasoned UX writer, user assistance and technical writer with over 11 years experience in creating UI text and labels, online contextual help, as well as complete product documentation sets for applications and services. I like to focus on end-users and often feel my best work is in serving as a translator between those that build a site or app and those that use it. My evolution to user researcher started from my user assistance work.

Content Creation

For nearly 20 years, I’ve been a persuasive communicator with lauded web production and marketing achievements that include video narratives, sales materials, and agency marketing campaign copy. I’m experienced in managing and authoring product copy and content for an international and successful online e-commerce site. In the US and UK I’ve written news articles, literature reviews, merchandising material and authored a non-fiction book published in the UK market, applying Global English best practices in creating content.
